It’s important for translators to keep up with current translation tips and news. Language is in a constant state of flux. New words are added; others are seldom used any more.
Culture is a really, terribly important part of translating. Machines are getting a tiny bit better at translating, but they are rather literal in their approach. This leaves their text cold and dead. But a human translator who understands not only the mechanics of a language, but also the culture, brings life and color to an otherwise dreary and dull script.
